The Carleton Place Curling Club is approaching return to play in the 2022-2023 season with a
continued focus on creating a safe and welcoming environment for all.
After two years of changing rules and regulations around public spaces, we are looking forward
to starting the season with no restrictions but do want to attract members by respecting that
each person’s level of comfort will be different.
As per provincial rules, we will not be requiring proof of vaccination or masks for anyone
entering the facility and we will welcome guests and spectators back to our club.
As per the current provincial health guidance.
You should continue to wear a mask if:
- you feel it is right for you
- you are at high risk for severe illness
- you are a close contact of someone with COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19
If you are sick – please stay home.
We expect that members who test positive or have symptoms of Covid-19 to follow the public
health required quarantine before returning to the club. If members suspect they may have been
contagious when at the club, we encourage them to notify their teammates, opposition skip and
league convenor. We will not be sending all member notifications of reported cases unless
asked to do so by public health.
We will continue with some of the protocols that help support physical distancing and increased
cleanliness.
- Coat racks in the lounge and storage cubbies on the ice surface for those who are not
comfortable using the locker rooms.
- Sanitizer for cleaning the rock handles and scoreboard between games.
- Sanitizer on each table in the lounge.
- Spacing of the tables within the lounge.
We ask that members and guests respect the different level of comfort each person has in
public social settings and that you pay attention to social distancing and avoid congestion in the
lounge and on the ice.
The we will continue to monitor and comply with Government of Ontario regulations, Leeds,
Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit requirements related to Covid-19.
Good curling!
